My Superstar!

Spring wishes from the North of Sweden today! Finally it´s getting green outside, and the temperature has come to reasonable levels. I hope that your part of the world feels as nice as mine does right now.

I´m have a layout to show today. My 10 yo son is the coolest guy I know. Despite his lack of age he´s sure of what he wants and have confident. He doesn´t care much about what others in the same age thinks of him. When he chose his new glasses he picked the most colorful and girlish ones in the store cause that was the ones he wanted. He really is my superhero and I hope he can keep this confidence when he becomes a teenager!

I have used papers from Cocoa Daisy kits for this page and combined them with some of my favourite Linnie Blooms products - the canvas Stars and the canvas envelopes.

I have distressed the edges of the canvas shapes to hightlight them further.

Best wishes from Marie

Canvas Blooms with Gelatos - makes something old look new!

Hello bloomers!! Jessica here from Scatter Joy with Jessann! I love altering items that are just laying around. With the help of Linnie Blooms Canvas Blooms I was able to turn something old into something new!
I had this old burlap covered hand made journal with handmade paper inside. I used the Linnie Blooms flowers from the canvas blooms set to add color and life! This was my first time using Gelatos and they were fun and easy. They also cleaned up quick!

I also used some of the Linnie Blooms Burlap for more texture and color on the front of my journal.
I love Linnie Blooms! I love the product she has. Go now to check it out at http://linnieblooms.com/collections/all
Have a blessed day!

May Challenge - You are Loved

Hi There, Karen N here from Craftily Yours!  Our design team was challenged in May to create something using the Linnie Blooms "Blooms".  Challenge accepted!  I created this card to give my momma on Mother's Day.

The middle is a bookmark that is removable.

She's fun, huh?  I used Tim Holtz distress paints to color up the canvas flowers and leaves.  The brad center is from Basic Grey Stitched.  The stamp is one of the Suzi Blu stamps from Unity Stamp Company.  I colored her with my Tim Holtz distress watercolor markers.

Canvas Flower and some fun homemade leaves

Hi Bev Code here today at Linnie Blooms Design.. so glad to be sharing this today.
Starting with the Canvas Floral Shapes I inked and multi sprayed for colour.

Now I hand stitched the centre pulling it together to give it some
texture looking waves to look more natural.
Then glue them on top of each other.

Now I will share how to make your very own leaves and all you need is green cardstock.
Follow the instructions above to make as many as you need.

I started the card with a boughten base and heidi grace designs paper.
I used my Kreaxions Punches #303 and #903 with insert to make my borders and then
matted them with cardstock to pop the punched borders.
I also added SRM sticker stitches to the borders.
Now following one of my very own sketches to make this card. (see below) I started
to form the centre - 2 squares with inked edges and a
SRM floral sticker and then the main centre piece.
Here I used the Linnie Blooms burlap, added more layers to
my flower from above and added the homemade leaves.
To finish it off I made a multi layers sentiment that started with SRM Sticker.

Thanks for stopping by.. so glad to share 2 ideas ... how to create a fabulous flower from
the great floral canvas pieces and also how to make your very own leaves.
Be sure to try these yourself... and have fun creating.

Feel Better Soon Friend

Hi Friends! Abby here with ScrappinAbby and I'm happy to be back with another DT project to share with all of you : )

This time I wanted to play with the Stencils & Masks from Linnie Blooms and I created a card for a good friend of mine who is recovering from surgery....
For this card I used the following stencils & masks....
I also have a video that shows you the card up close along with a tutorial on how I used the stencils & masks for my card....
To start I selected the papers & sprays I wanted to use with the stencils & masks....
The next few photos show you how I used the stencil & mask for the different elements I added to the card....
For the larger flower, I spritzed it with some water, crumpled it up and used my heat tool...
I wanted to add a distressed feel to the butterflies and leaves I made from the card stock and a scrap piece of fabric...
Once all of my pieces were dry and distressed, I just started layering them on the card....
I layered the butterfly stencils that I made on two different types of paper so it would have a layered look. Love how that turned out : )
I love all the layers and textures on this card. Using the stencils & masks with your paper really creates some great dimension I think. It's fun to create your own embellishments for your projects and using the Linnie Bloom stencils makes it easy to do that.

Thanks for stopping by the Linnie Blooms blog today and for checking out another ScrappinAbby project.

Be sure to stop by my BLOG for additional photos and a full product list.

Happy Crafting!!

Sense of Wonder

Hi There, Karen N here from Craftily Yours!  For my card today, I used watercolor distress markers to color up this adorable image.....I love that sentiment so much.

I added one of the Linnie Blooms "Blooms" to the corner.  I first painted it with Tim Holtz distress paint in white and then sprayed yellow Dylusions through a heart stencil.  I added a little worn lipstick distress to the edges.  I love the texture that these shapes bring to my cards.  It sorta looked to me like the girl was releasing the butterfly towards the sun.  What do you think?  The little flowers are created with molding clay and a cake embellishment mold....then colored with distress markers.

More details are available on my blog.  Hope you will stop by!

May Challenge - April showers bring May flowers...

Happy Wednesday! Today I want to share my creation using the Linnie Blooms Bloom Stencil and Mask. I used the stencil to create a layered flower for the cover of this simple gift journal.

I took four 12x 6 sheets of craft paper folded them in half (to create 6x6)
I stacked them on one another in order to create the writing area of the journal.
I added a 6x6 patterned paper for the cover. Then I attached the flower and leaves I created with the Linnie bloom mask.
I then punched holes at the top below the folds and used black fiber to create a binding.
I added a sentiment, a button, some liquid pearls... Voila!

This is a simple but beautiful gift that I really enjoyed making!
Thanks for taking time to check out my challenge design!

Stenciled Infinity scarf

Good Monday Morning everyone. Today, I am here with a project inspired by Pinterest. I saw this post on Pinterest on how to turn a t-shirt into a cool stenciled infinity scarf.  My first thought was the cool stencils that Linnie Blooms has.  On first scarf, I used the the Butterfly stencil and mask. Then I used the stencil as a mask and stenciled a pattern on the butterfly!

The second scarf,  I used the Flutter stencil and mask. Again I used the Flutter stencil (the bird) as a mask and stenciled a pattern on the bird.

Look, How fun, cute and cheap these are!!!! I used some old t-shirts I had laying around the house. Another great gift idea you could make in about an hour. If you make some of these t-shirt stenciled infinity scarves , I would love to see them.

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, K
