MSMR Challenge - January

Well, if you are looking at the calendar, today isn't the 1st Friday of the month.  But, this is the best we could do after celebrating the holidays.

Today's the last MSMR Challenge for this group of designers.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing their work consider following them.  Thank you Holly, Joan, Therese, Sheila and Casey for sharing your design work with us!
Here is the image the designers used for their inspiration this month;

First up, let's look at Sheila's take on this month's piece:

How stink'in shabbylicious is this!  Sheila used Linnie Blooms Mini File Folders as her base for this mini album.  I love all of the embellishments!  Thank you Sheila!

Next us is Joan with a gorgeous 12x12 layout, using a Linnie Blooms Canvas.

Joan did an excellent job adding tons of texture and interest to her background.  The bicycle is an added touch that reminds you of the inspiration piece.  Thank you Joan!

Casey shows us just how simple you can use Linnie Blooms canvas pieces and the Mixed Stitch Greetings Stamp Set to make a card.  Thank you Casey!

Next, Holly has an early jump on Valentines Day with a Linnie Blooms Canvas Envelope and die cut hearts.

I'm sure Holly's husband will appreciate receiving this!  Thank you Holly!

Lastly, Therese used the Linnie Blooms Flourish Pocket to make a gift card holder.

By cutting the "flourish" off the pocket, Therese has given this pocket different look and the ability to put a larger embellishment on the front.  The Canvas Flourish Pockets are such a quick an easy way to present giftcards or money in this case!  Thank you Therese!

Now it's your turn!  Show us what type of mixed stitch media project you have made!

Be You..... Linnie Blooms Challenge

Hey Hey friends it is me Scrappin Madge from Madge's Scrappin Lounge and I am super excited to share with you my first post for Linnie Blooms!!!

This months challenge for the Design Team is April Showers have brought us May Flowers!!! I am super excited to share with you this fun project using Linnie Blooms Canvas flowers along with some other yummy Linnie Blooms Product! Let's Get started!!

I first took a 5x11 long canvas and used gellatos and water and a water brush to create the fun background on the canvas.  I allowed it to dry completely before taking a fun stamp and stamped this cute little girl. I allowed her to dry before putting the skin toned gellatos on her legs, arms and face (again adding water) I took some white acrylic paint and painted on the ruffle of the dress, the belt and the center of bow.  I used the end of a paint brush and also painted dots on the skirt of her dress.  I then took some glitter paint and painted her shoes, skirt, top and bow to make it sparkle!
Using the banner pieces from Linnie Blooms I stamped on them and then sprayed them with spritz (pink and gold) both colors available from the Linnie Blooms Store.

I took a great stamp alpha set and stamped "Be You".  I then took several fabric flowers from my stash and a pink feather and used a hot glue gun to adhere to the canvas.

Next I took three of the small Linnie Blooms Flowers and colored them with the same gellatos using water and a water brush.  I allowed them to dry and placed them on top of one another creating a fluffy flower placing a Linnie Blooms small heart in the center.

I added some great ribbon from Linnie Blooms to the top of the canvas adhering the dried banner pieces to the top.
I took some white paint and splattered the canvas with the white paint.

This canvas all comes together with the fun white Hanger that is also available in the Linnie Blooms Store!

I hope that you like my Challenge project today!!! Please be sure to pick up your Linnie Bloom Products Today {HERE} Tell her Madge sent ya!!
