Cherish Today

Hi Everyone- Julie, from A Little Bit of Bling, here today.

Today is my last post as a designer for Linnie Blooms. (sad face)
I've had a great time on this team!  Linda- thank you so much for having me!!

Mixed media has always been something that I saw (and loved) but thought, "I'll never be able to do something like that".
Working with the Linnie Blooms shapes and canvas blanks definitely brought me out of my crafting comfort zone- and I am so thankful for it!
I have learned a ton of new techniques- and made some new friends while I was at it!

One of the new techniques I learned is working with alcohol inks.
I made the flower out of aluminum foil and colored it and the canvas blank and shapes with my new alcohol inks.
I finished my project off with some 3 Girl JAM ribbon.  (There may even be a little sneak peek of something new coming to 3GJ soon!)

Make sure to check out the other posts on the Linnie Blooms blog and the shop.  Linda has some exciting things happening on the horizon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Holiday Inspiration- Mittens

Hi Everyone!

Julie, from 3 Girl JAM, here to share my latest holiday inspired project!

When I saw the Linnie Blooms Canvas Mitten shapes I instantly had an idea of what to make.
I wanted something big and bold that would be a focal point above my mantle- something that said Winter, and Christmas, and Holiday Joy.

Here's what I came up with:

Check out more pictures on my blog!

And make sure to grab some of these mittens (before it gets too cold outside!).

Christmas Bird

Hi Everyone!

Julie from A Little Bit of Bling here today!  I am starting to get into the Holiday Spirit and although I know it's still a bit early for Christmas, I just couldn't resist when I looked at the Linnie Blooms Canvas Bird!

I colored the bird with a white gelato then outlined it with a black ink pen.
I put the bird on a simple white embossed background with some silver snowflake cut outs.
Some Pink by Design sentiments and some
new Ribbon Candy Red 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon put the final touches on my first Christmas card of the season.

Time to start your Christmas Cards!

Hi Everyone!  Julie here!!

I know it's not even Halloween yet-
but when I saw one of the newest Linnie Shapes-
I knew exactly what I wanted to make!

I colored the canvas tree with some Copic Markers and blinged it up with Stickles!
Very festive!

It works perfectly with some DCWV Burlap paper and some

Christmas will be here before you know it,

Micro-Banner using Linnie Shapes

Hi Everyone!  Julie from A Little Bit of Bling here today!!

That's right- the title says Micro-Banner.
What is a micro-banner you may ask.....

It's a teeny tiny super cute banner!

Look real close under the shelf.
There's my micro-banner!!

OK-- here it is a little closer.

And closer...

And from a different angle-

And finally here's one where you can see the texture up close and personal!

For my banner, I used some Linnie Shapes from Linnie Blooms.
I used Canvas Pennants and Squares.
Check out the store HERE and grab some for your self!

I colored each canvas shape with my Copic Markers and then stamped some images and letters from Pink by Design.  I topped each shape off with some rhinestones from The Buckle Boutique.
It is all held together with some ribbon from 3 Girl JAM.

I hope you love my micro-banner as much as I do!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Check out my blog for more inspiration.

Sweet Bird

Julie from A Little Bit of Bling here-- I'm so excited to be sharing this project that I created for Linnie Blooms!
This is one of my favorite things that I've ever created.

It all started with a canvas blank.

I was holding it, and feeling the texture (there's a surprise sewn in between two pieces of canvas)- I decided to emboss it with my Cuttlebug and an awesome Anna Griffin folder that I have.
I wasn't sure if it would work-
but it did!!

Once I had the embossed image, I used Creative Inspirations Paint on it.  This paint works fantastic on canvas!  I did some outlining with Copic Markers- which also works great on canvas.
The end result:

I finished it off with a clip and some 3 Girl JAM ribbon from the New and Improved Seasons Bundle.

Make sure to check out the Linnie Blooms store for more inspiration and fabulous products!

Hi Everyone!
Julie from A Little Bit of Bling here to show you all a fun wall hanging that I made for my new house!

I started off with an 8x8 canvas that I covered with some October Afternoon paper.
I then cut out the Home "h" and the flowers from the Silhouette store.

The fun part came when I got to decorate my Linnie Shape!

I used some Gelatos and turned my House from plain canvas to this:

I finished it off with a ribbon flower using 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon!

I been having so much fun playing with the Linnie Shapes.  Make sure to stop by the store and grab some for yourself!

I hope you love them as much as I do!

Meet the Designers - Julie Kraling

Hi Everyone!  My name is Julie Kraling and live in central Iowa with my Husband and 12 year old twin girls.  My family is everything to me.  They are the loves of my life.  My daughters amaze me with the things they can do at such a young age.  The other love of my life is crafting.  It is the calm in my crazy life.  I love paper- love the feel, the smell, and texture, and I love to create with it.  I am happiest and am my truest self when I am creating.  My crafting style changes with my mood but I always have to use some ribbon on my projects!  You can see my ever changing style at my blog “ A Little Bit of Bling” http://jk-littlebitofbling.blogspot.com/.  If I am not in my craft room you can probably find me in the kitchen cooking (which is another love), riding bikes with my girls, or loving on my pets.  I look forward to my time on the Linnie Blooms team and hope that I can inspire you in some small way.
