a sweet little canvas bag... by leeann pearce

Hello Linnie Blooms fans. Today I wanted to share another sweet but simply project I made using one of the 9x11 inch canavs blanks.

I made this little canvas bag for my youngest daughter as she has a love for bags of any kind. She loves to just stuff what ever she can in them.
One of her favorite animals is elephants because she remembers them from our Thailand trip.

 anyway so this is it...

- I simply cut a piece of fabric measuring the same size as the canvas.
- I also made a elephant template and cut this out using scraps of fabrics.
- I used a canvas heart and cut in two and used them as leaves for the red fabric flower.

- Once the shapes were cut out i pinned everything in place and used a zig zag machine stitch.
- I went around twice.
NOTE: At this stage it was time to machine stitch the large piece of fabric I had cut out.

- I used some scraps of ribbon to create the carry handles and machine stitch them in place.

So you can see how easy it really was.
There are so many great ways to used this canvas blank.
I certainly loved making this little bag for jorja!

Imagine Dream Fly Linnie Blooms Wall Art

Hello and Happy Saturday!
Donna K here to share a little piece of Linnie Blooms Wall Art with you.
I used a Linnie Blooms "long blank" canvas and actually cut it in half.
Isn't it cool that you can change up these pieces and use them in just about any way imaginable to create anyTHING!
I tend to work better on smaller spaces…maybe that's why I enjoy cards
so much more than a larger scrapbook page?
I just had myself a little canvas, paper and lace party on this
ready to decorate blank canvas piece.
across the center for a bit of drama in that area.
LOVE the sweet canvas butterfly on this…
I've used these butterflies on cards but I think this wall decor is my favorite.
AND…
I just HAD to show you this awesome display piece…
do you love this decorative hanger as much as I do?!
I hope you enjoyed stopping by today.
Just so you know...

shabby jar huggers by leeann pearce

Hello Linnie bloom fans!
Today is my first post ...and yes i have been busy in my space creating some shabby jar huggers!

Jars are on trend everywhere... I love them because of the many wonderful things we can do with them!
anyway lets check out my shabby jar huggers.

Starting here - I used the 11" x 9" canvas blank and cut this into 3 strips. Now I don't measure everything  I eye ball everything.
I am very much a random freestyler.
So you just relax and go with it ok!
- Unpick one end of the trim canvas.
 - Cut a small piece of elastic and loop in unpicked end.
- Machine stitch elastic in place and zigzag all the way round.

- Gather together assorted fabrics, hessian, lace and  ribbon  what every strips of fabrics that are lying around.
- Cut at random lengths and layer.

-  Layer assorted fabrics on base and machine stitch in place.

- Now simply finished off by layering  clusters of embellishments such as buttons, metal alphas/numbers, doilies,  linnie blooms canvas shapes and flowers.
- Finish off by hand stitching with embroidery thread for extra detail.

NOTE: Be sure to add a large button at the opposite end for elastic to loop onto.

...and here they all are shabby jar hugging.

I {heart} Linnie Blooms

Hello,  Donna K here with a very photo filled post.
This is my first post for Linnie Blooms…yay me!
I was so excited with all of my Linnie Blooms treasures when they arrived I went a little canvas crazy!
I started out with the 9" X 11" canvas blank and an idea for a Love theme wall hanging.
I used spray color shine paint in peach, acrylics in greens, browns and white along with lots of metal embellishments and ribbons to create this keepsake.
I painted and/or stamped on each Canvas Heart piece.

At the top of this piece I used metal eyelets to create  a sturdy place to thread the ribbons for attaching a dowel and chain so that this piece can hang nicely for wall display.
On to project number two…
another Canvas Heart project.
I created this Valentine and used Gelatos for my first time to shade the canvas piece.
How FUN they were.  I simply sectioned the piece, shaded it and added stickles for some shimmer in the center.  I also used 3D adhesive to pop up the heart so it has plenty of dimension.

These Gelato kits  make it so easy to shade and combine your colors.

Lastly…I just wanted to make oooonnnneeee more project.
I wanted to use an owl, but somehow that owl …. with some orange acrylic paint turned onto her side and became a FISH.
A feathery gold fish with shimmery gills and a pearly eye!

I'm pretty tickled with how this sweet little CAS card turned out.
She will make a great valentine for someone special this year.
Thank you for letting me go a little photo crazy in this post and for the opportunity to share my fun, canvas filled projects with you today.
