Bird Pin or Hair Clip by Pinky

Good morning Linnie Bloom friends,
Pinky here today with a step by step tutorial for making this
Linnie Blooms bird pin/hair clip. It could be used as either.

This is a "Wearable Art" post for sure!
  • Start with Linnie Blooms Canvas Bird, and Canvas Leaves.
  • Coat each in embossing pad- Press firmly 3 times into pad.
  • Dust with embossing powders. (I used a multi colored for the bird and brass color for the wing).
  • Using a Heat Gun- heat emboss powder onto canvas. Repeat if desired color is not strong enough.

  •  Coat Linnie Blooms pieces in Glossy Accents.
  • Set to dry overnight.

  •  Using a clip pin- coat with mixed media adhesive. (Beacon Quick Grip works well).

  •  Turn bird over and press into clip at desired position.

  •  Set to dry for a minimum of 1 hour I actually recommend all day.

  •  Adhere "wing" using same adhesive.

  •  Apply bronze pearl pen for accent pearls.

That's it! Now you have a wonderful pin for your jacket or hair clip.
Very artistic and it would make a wonderful gift!
I hope you enjoyed my post and it pushes you to think outside of the box.
Until next time- Keep on creating!
