Canvas Hoop by Rochelle

Hello Crafters!

It’s Rochelle again and today I am sharing with you another project I created with Linnie Blooms.

I used the Linnie Blooms Hoop Kit.

This is definitely out of the box for me... but it was super easy and fun to do and I love how it came out!   The hoop kit comes with a frame and a piece of canvas.
I started with adding Gesso to the canvas.

The canvas that comes in the kit is bigger than this.  I had already cut it down to size.  Not on purpose... this was actually my second try! lol

Once the Gesso dried, I stamped the images on the canvas.

I used Linnie Blooms Stitched Sunshine Stamp Set  for the sunflower and quote:
And lastly, I used water colors and enjoyed the painting the images.

After it was dried I added some bling and stickles.

That’s it. :)

Linnie bloom vintage hair clip

hello bloomers
Mayoori here with some crafty mood. Few years ago , I was grossly involved with fabric craft, making hair bands , hair clips, garlands , hand embroidered paintings.
Today I am sharing the same passion.

I made this vintage
hair clip using Linnie Blooms canvas flower.

Process
cut a circle of fabric , about 1.5 inches in diameter.
take about 1 meter of broad lace, and stick it on the fabric, giving pleats to it.
Add Linnie bloom flower, then add mesh on it, then add another layer of the flower , then the smaller one, and then a button or beads of your choice.
Finally take the hair clip, hot glue it to the flower, then take another round piece of cloth and secure the clip with hot glue.

Thsi is a very easy project, and can be made to decorate winter wreath , or head gear with a vintage theme dress, or even on a box.

Hope you will like it.

The Best Day LO

Hi everyone!!!

Here Noe to show you my newest LO´s! Are you ready to create and fun? Here we go!!! I love creating LO using my favorite photos  that it remind me special moments.

To make this LO I used LB  Scrapbook Page. It´s the first time I used a canvas support, I usually do my LO on paper ... but I love it !!! Inks and textures are much nicer !!

To make my own background, I play with my sprays inks and my favourites stencils… So simple!! Enjoy!! Also used dimensional paste to give relief (in my case, I used Sparkle Medium and pearlescent embossing paste). If you like the result, let it dry.

Place your favourites photos over some scrapbook papers and decorate your LO with background and border stamps, washi tape, flowers,  and everything you can think of !!

More photos in detail:

I hope you liked my project... Have you tried already make your LO's in canvas scrapbook pages?

Christmas in July

Some of you may be aghast at the thought of Christmas in July and others of you may be early-bird planner types...I'm just moved to craft when inspiration strikes, so behold, my first Christmas card of 2015. Linnie Blooms canvas evergreen trees with their distressed edges just seemed the perfect fit for my rustic card. I stamped the clear stamp set of stitched doodles on the tree which was quick & easy and I am so pleased with the result.

A Closer Look:

Directions:
1. Use a sponge applicator to lightly apply Pine Needles Distress ink to the canvas tree.
2. Carefully separate your chosen doodle from the stamp cluster with sharp scissors.
3. Cover the trunk with a bit of scrap paper. Ink the stamp with evergreen pigment dye ink and carefully press it to the canvas.
4. Continue stamping rows of doodles until the tree is completely covered.
5. Use a sponge applicator to lightly apply Vintage Photo Distress ink to the tree trunk.

TIP: Before beginning, I traced the canvas tree on paper and cut out a tree so that I could use it to practice. One set of doodle stamps are straight and the other is made on a slight curve. I selected the gently curving doodle so the tree would have a more realistic appearance. It was very useful to test different doodle patterns to see how they would appear on the tree. I tried 3 other patterns before I selected the one in the final project. By taking the time and doing a test tree on paper, this preplanning step can help you avoid frustration and disappointment.

Supplies:
canvas evergreen tree (Linnie Blooms), burlap printed fabric (Linnie Blooms), ColorWays Emerald Leatherbound 12" paper (Paper House), Little Man 8x8 paper pad (Paper House), gold rub on transfers (Paper House), Winter Wonderland Die Cut Sticker Embellishments (Paper House),  Stitched Doodles Stamp Set (Linnie Blooms), Pine Needles & Vintage Photo Distress Ink (Ranger), wood veneer tiny stars & snowflakes (Studio Calico), white gel pen (Sakura), christmas ribbon (Celebrate It), red half pearls

Linnie Blooms 12 x 12 Old Glory

Where were you this Patriotic Weekend? Did you see fireworks? Did you see Old Glory?
I saw fireworks and smiles and food that stretch for miles and miles. Sang Songs and don't tell but no one was in tune..  Sunday, I was watching the US women's soccer team win the World Cup and flags were flying and smiles were alive through painted faces it was a sea of Red White and Blue. It made me remember that I forget how beautiful are flag truly is, the meaning behind it and how proud I am of it!

I am making my post on July 6th and I'm adding my version of Old Glory

I started with the 12 x 12 Canvas Page from Linnie Blooms, I love this size it's great for a frame, an album or all sorts of things.

I used the Linnie Blooms Canvas Sunflower Stencil to hold my USA , I  daubed and painted and texturize to create stripes, I did them freehand so I wasn't looking to make them straight. I used Folk Art paint White for the base and Folk Art Red to start the stripe and finished with Red from Art Anthology.  Art Anthology's Mud was used on top of stripes for give texture.
I threw some turquoise paint from Art Anthology in scattered places.
I used the Linnie Blooms Canvas Sunflower Stencil to trace onto some material and I cut it out from some material I had lying around the house.  I used Sizzix's Star Framelits to cut out a star from the material and from a piece of lace.

I forgot to mention that before I started the project I painted the canvas using the Folk Art Paint White

Happy Summer Day's

All American napkin rings...God Bless America!

Hi everyone...Dawn here with a great idea for your Independence Day BBQ tablescape.  I made these using the Linnie Blooms canvas bracelets..and you can always wear them as bracelets also. My husband had the idea for the napkin rings. What a great way to add a little flair to your holiday table for any holiday.

The first thing I did was paint them with Dylusions paints...the colors are gorgeous and they saturate the canvas with one coat.
They I used some holiday ribbon and glued it to the bracelets with Fabric Fusion...
I used a white Sharpie water color marker and drew stars and stripes down the edges of the bracelets. These water color markers are permanent.

I think they turned out perfect for a BBQ or for everyday use too.

See...they can be awesome bracelets too.

Thank you for checking out my project...I hope everyone has a safe and Happy 4th of July!
Thank you to all the brave men and women who served our country both past, present and future. May God continue to Bless America and long may she wave.

Check out all of our blog projects for some really great ideas....and Linnie Blooms website for your supplies.

Thank you,

~Dawn
