Celebrate Graduation using Linnie Blooms

Hi Bev here today... I needed a card for my Grand Daughters grade 5 Graduation as
she heads of to middle school which is grades 6-8. Isn't that exciting.
Well I wanted something bright, fun and different to share with her on this special day.
Starting with the Linnie Blooms butterfly stencil I traced a butterfly and cut it out of white
cardstock just slightly small than the base card size. I matted it with some fun bright and
cute print paper from Simple Stories DIY Boutique which I then
zigzag stitched around the outer edges.
I added a base border for a pop of colour.
I matted the whole thing again.
Tracing another butterfly from a darker floral print I accordian folded
it and tied it off with twine... also added a twine flight path from the other butterfly.
The sentiment, small butterfly and "you did it" are SRM stickers.
Really quit simple but cute and she'll love the butterflies and
of course it's even more special when I custom make cards for them to keep.

*************************
And while I was making butterflies from the stencils I created this
fab, fun and bright page using my newest paper line.

These super cute butterflies are so versitile and suit so many projects.. and so easy to make.
The butterfly added to the cluster is a perfect touch on this page... be sure to make
some of these yourself... you'll love them.

MME Now and Then Dorothy Pretty brads

Yellow exam card

I´m showing you a yellow and bright card I made for our nice Teacher exam. I love how it turned out with the different shades of yellow paper and the yellow flowers. The Linnie Blooms canvas feather and leave was just spot on perfect for this project.

To highlight the canvas shapes further, I inked them a bit with a beige ink. Enjoy!

Outdoor Fun with Icecream!

As mentioned before my 10 yo is the coolest kid I know. He really embrace life and enjoy every little minute of it. I snapped this picture of him enjoying a ice cream in the sun last summer. I just love how you really can see how much he enjoys it. It was a natural choice for the June DT challenge outdoor fun. I mean, we don´t eat ice cream on a regular basis, but during the summer, we tend do have one, or tree...

As you can see I have used two products from Linnie Blooms on this page. First of all the canvas trees. To archive the treelike effect I have first sprayed it with 3 shades of spray ink. Then when dry I stamped and embossed the flower shapes from Cocoa Daisy. It turned out better than I thought it would...

I also sprayed on the canvas arrow with a bit of spray ink. I used the Heidi Swapp Color shine in the color Mint green.

Hope this made you long for a cool ice cream in the sun. I´ll be back tomorrow with a card. Have a nice day.

Take me back to the good old days!

Hi friends!! It's me Scrappin Madge from Madge's Scrappin Lounge! I am super excited to bring to you this fun project that I made using our theme for the month "OUTDOOR FUN"  This fun Prima Old Fashioned TV was just what I needed to take be back to the good old days! Outdoor fun in the summer!!  When looking at this T.V. It reminds me of a calm summer day where the flowers bloom and the old Banana seat bikes are laying on the grass!!  Check it out!!! I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang spritz, fun stamps, lace and some gold leaf rub n buff.  Along with the Linnie Blooms Canvas, I took it and cut it to measure the T.V. and a fun canvas heart!

Check it out!!

I used some fun flowers and adhered them all to one of my canvas circles, then used two straight pins to complete the T.V.  I hope you liked my project today.  Until next time.....

Birdie Thanks and Stars to Miss You With....

Karen N here from Craftily Yours.

For today's post, I first made a simple card using the bird and leaf shapes from the Linnie Blooms canvas shapes.  I sprayed the bird with Glimmer Mist in spicy mustard and daubered the leaf/wing with Tim Holtz distress paint in spun sugar mixed with Glimmer Mist in party pink to make it a little brighter.

SO easy.  The paper is from MME Indie Chic Saffron.  I distressed the edges with a little Tim Holtz distress ink in walnut and then ran the edges through my Distrezz-It-All.  The lace is from 3 Girl JAM.

The second card today is using the Linnie Bloom canvas stars from the shapes set that I painted and then spritz with some ink sprays.  My son is in the Army, so this card will be sent to him as a "miss you" kind of card.  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Before you go, be sure to check out:

It's a banner day

Happy Tuesday!  Today I wanted to share with you some personalized banners I've recently enjoyed making with my medium Linnie Blooms pennants.  Each pennant is canvas cloth front and back with recycled book paper sewn in between.  Very strong and durable for any medium you want to use on it.

These make wonderful gifts!  The two above were for newborn babies!  Color them to match a rooms decor or a child's favorite colors.  The Medium Pennants are sold in a package of 5 for just $4.99 in Linnie Blooms online store.

Enjoy your Tuesday!

Card for him, card for her!

Hi there crafty friends! This is Jessica, www.jessicalibasci.wordpress.com, come scatter joy with me!
Today I have two cards to show you. The first card I want to share, I made for my wonderful husband who always supports my craft addiction. He is such an encourager.
For both of the cards I designed this week, I used Linnie Blooms canvas shapes. I love these canvas shapes. For my husbands card I used the arrow and for the next card I want to show you I used the canvas flowers.
I used Linnie blooms bloom stencil and mask to create the background flower.
For both the arrow and the flower I colored Linnie's canvas shapes with Gelatos. The Gelatos are one of my favorite ways to color the canvas shapes! The are fun and easy to use.

My goal today was to provide you with two simple creations that would get your creative juices flowing. One for him, one for her. Have a blessed day, a blessed week and come visit me and let's scatter joy! www. jessicalibasci.wordpress.com

Friendship Mixed Media Tag

Hi Friends. It's Abby with ScrappinAbby and I'm back with another Linnie Blooms creation to share with all of you : )

I created a friendship tag using the bird canvas piece that I'm giving to a very good friend of mine....
I also have a video that shows you the project up close along with a tutorial on how I achieved the texture on the bird canvas piece...

I knew I wanted to use a stencil to create the background so I could create a base that I could build on....
For added texture...I used some Crackle Accents on the colored parts of the stenciling...here's a before photo...
And this is how it looked once it was dry...
I used a paintbrush and dipped it into my Lindy's spray so i could add more of the Tiffany Lou Blue to the edges of the canvas bird...
Once this was dry...I added some Creme Brulee Cream Lindy's spray and some gold paint by Smooch. This really added some extra texture and dimension to the canvas bird and I LOVE how it turned out...
Don't toss your scraps leftover from another project...I was able to use the last bit of the Linnie Blooms Burlap piece as additional texture and background for the tag :)
I am lovin how this tag turned out. You can create so many layers and textures with the canvas pieces from Linnie Blooms and they turn into a piece of art.

Be sure to head to the Linnie Blooms Store and grab some of the canvas pieces & burlap so you can create your own piece or art.

Thanks for stopping by the Linnie Blooms blog today and for checking out another ScrappinAbby project.

Happy Crafting : )

Altered Journal Dreamer....

Hi friends... It's me Scrappin Madge! I am super excited to bring to you a couple more pages to my Altered Journal.  But before I do I want to direct you to the Linnie Blooms Store. This is the magical store that brings your creativity to life! If you love mixed media then you will for sure Love Linnie Blooms!!! Click {HERE} to shop!!!

Now onto my project.

For this page I stamped and used paints to create this fun effect.  I love angels so I had to add these Tim Holtz Angel wings and crown to the page.  I love how it turned out!

For this fun pocket I added some shimmer blue paint to the top, and used Heidi Swapp Misters to ink the rest of the pocket.  I then added some gold Heidi Swapp to the pocket as well.  When dry I added a fun chalkboard flair button from AC to the pocket.

You may have seen this tag in my last post.  This tag goes inside of the pocket.  I used black ink and stamps to create this fun picture.  I also added some paint and mists to create this fun canvas tag.

This is the back of the tag.  I wanted to leave this plain so it didn't take away from the front of this tag.  I misted with some Lindy's Stamp gang to get this awesome color.

I hope that you liked my project today! I will be creating more of my altered journal so stay tuned.  Until next time.

Linnie Blooms fabulous Canvas Shapes

HI.. Bev here today. I am excited today to share my Linnie Blooms post with you.
I have been working with lots of canvas shapes this month
and here is what I did with the Sun shape.
We also have been doing themes of the month.. outdoor fun.
Well what better outdoor summer fun than eating popsicles with cousins.
I started by colouring the cavas sun with Ink pads.. I used yellow and orange mix.
I then used my Kreaxions circle cutter to make 2 rings from paper and a centre circle.
I inked the edges and glued them down.

In the close ups I'll tell you abit about what I did. Starting with the Jillibean placemat cut cardstock
I cut apart only 12 circle sections.. and filled alternating offset circles with a background circle to fill it.
The top corner cluster is finished off with twine... the windmill sticker is matted and foam popped.
I added sun ray paper strips.
Also hand cut some clouds from the papers.

The stickers are fabulous.. what a great mix... titles, strips, admit tickets and alpha of different shapes.
I used Kreaxion Punch #903 to punch a border.
I added fun mix of coloured brads in the bottom right.

Supply List:
Paper: Bo Bunny Lemonade Stand
Stickers: Bo Bunny Lemonade Stand
Canvas: Linnie Blooms Shapes
Ink: Tim Holtz Ranger
Punch: Kreaxions  #903
Circle Cutter: Kreaxions
Pen: Staedtler black ink
Other: twine, stitching, brads.

Owl Tag

Hi, everyone!  Ashley here with a cute owl tag I made using Linnie Blooms' Flutter Stencil and Mask set.

The tags were in my stash, and I thought it needed just a little something extra.  I used the branch and owl stencils with my Pebbles Inc. Chalking Set, then I added a couple of (what I call) googly eyes and a small purple nose with my ZIG Writer in Pure Violet.  The back of the tag is blank, so it can be used for any type of gift tag.

Lite my Fire

Happy Wednesday!
During June we have been an Outdoor Fun challenge.
I'm sure at first glance you can guess where I am headed with my sassy card.
We have lots of bonfires at my house all summer long.
...and....Marshmallows are a MUST.
I think my husband will get a kick out of this one because he is
always the fire starter.

I used a Linnie Blooms shapes card kit for the base and
a Linnie Blooms canvas pennant shape to accent the "you" on my sentiment.
I just added some yellow acrylic paint and doodling to make it unique.
You will never run out of options with these pieces.
Now don't forget that you can share your designs on the
Linnie Blooms Facebook page for a chance to be the Pick of the Week...
we'd love it if you did!

Have a wonderful day.

Using Stencils and Watercolors!

Hi Bloomer Peeps!!  Karen here today, to show you how I used Linnie Blooms Stencils and my watercolors to create this little fun piece for my mini clipboard!  It was so easy to use the stencils to make my drawing and then color it in!!

I started sketching and tracing flowers with my Linnie Blooms Flutter and Bloom stencil and mask set.  (I started it in the evening, so sorry about the dark picture!)

I used my favorite watercolors to color the shapes -  Magenta Quinacridone  and Cobalt Turquoise by Windsor and Newton for the flower!

And my two favorite greens (Viridian and SAP Green) for the stem!  Then I doodled and stamped to finish off my watercolor piece!

I painted some turquoise chevron onto a piece of Crate Paper scrapbook paper for the background. When it was dry, I glued down the flower!!

And here is my final piece!!  I attached it to my mini-clipboard and sat it up on the table next to my desk!!  I love it!  The stencils gave me great shapes and I didn't even have to worry about messing up my lines - Linnie stencils made them  for me!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! I hope you have a wonderful summer week full of creativity and fun!!!
