Linnie Blooms Catalog/Shop
Craftily yours,
Karen
SO easy to make this card! I first inked up the canvas feathers with some TH Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade. Then, I used an UmWow Studio mask to add the circles with TH Distress ink in Broken China. Finally, I added the veins with a TH watercolor marker and edges with distress ink in Vintage Photo. I added some 3 Girl JAM distressed lace, some Webster's Pages paper, and a flower from my stash. The paper is all inked and distressed on the edges. I was trying to figure out what sentiment to use, when I found that card that I got in a surprise package. I love how the feathers highlight the words....

Christmas in July - Ornament
Jessica here from Scatter Joy with Jessann! Hope everyone is feeling blessed today! I sure am! Yesterday I had a scare with my heart and had a trip to the emergency room, but all is well now. I am so thankful that I had so many people lifting me up in prayer!
Today I want to share my Christmas in July ornament. It was a lot of fun to make using the Linnie Blooms Canvas shapes! Here is the front and the back of my ornament.

Simple Joys
Hi Friends! Abby here with ScrappinAbby and today I'll be showing you how I freshened up one of my older projects using the canvas pieces from Linnie Blooms .
This is how it looked before...
This is a mini canvas I made around 7 years ago...I liked it then but I wanted to freshen it up a bit and give it a new look. I have a short video that shows you the project up close along with the Linnie Blooms products I used...
I used one of the tree canvas pieces as one of my background elements. I gave it some texture by using a script background stamp and used the Green Tea Gelato....
We were at a local amusement park called The Enchanted Forest, so I thought adding the canvas tree would be fun & fitting.
To have the photo "pop" off the canvas I used one of the Mixed Stitch Canvas pieces as my background for the photo. To add some color, I used more of my Gelatos in Lemon and Bubble Gum.
I think it turned out pretty cute : )
Using the Linnie Bloom Mixed Stitch and canvas pieces is a great way to update one of your older projects or to just simply mix it up a bit.
Thanks for stopping by the Linnie Blooms blog today and for checking out another ScrappinAbby project.
Happy Crafting : )

Red White Blue Just for You
Hello and Happy Thursday!
Today I'm here to share my July patriotism challenge project.
I decided to steer clear of a flag creation and just go with
Red, White and Blue
Gift tags always come in handy so I went with red, white and blues
to come up with this pretty tag.
This would also be great added to a card, don't you think?
You can find this versatile luggage tag along with the feather stencil/mask you see
on the background in the Linnie Blooms Shop.
ALSO...
While I have you here today I just want to take a quick moment to
say that today is my last post as DT member for Linnie Blooms.
If you know me at all you know that cards are my comfort zone and I love creating them.
Linnie Blooms helped forced me to step out of my zone and get more involved with mixed medias. I've had a fabulous time learning and growing in that area of my creative life.
Here are a few of my favorite creations using Linnie Blooms products.
I have had a fantastic time working with Linda and her marvelous products.
Thank you so much for allowing me to part of your wonderful design team.
'til next time...
Bracelets using canvas pieces
Hello everyone-
Today, I am here to show you a new way to use your canvas dies. I recently took an online class on how to make bracelets out of belts. Super duper fun, but one of my big things with taking a class is how to do I make this mine? How can I show my style?
This is how:

This is how:
I took the canvas piece and painted them white. Then took sharpies to decorate them. I glue them on with a fabric/leather glue. then riveted the ends just encase the ends wanted to come up. What else could you decorated canvas pieces in??? The possibilities are endless! Go be creative and make it your "own"!
****Tip: 1- when decorating the canvas pieces I have found that using the fine tipped sharpie works best for details. 2- Make sure you seal the piece after you are done.****
Until next time-
Stay creative :)

Patriotic colored tag
Since July has a patriotic challenge here at Linnie Blooms I thought I go trough it almost all the way. Therefore I did create this sweet tag with Swedish colors (blue & yellow). I made the flowers and leaves by using the Bloom Stencil and mask.
Have a lovely day!

Freedom!
Happy Hump Day! Ashley here with my July challenge creation for you! I decided to make a patriotic card, so I used the canvas stars from Linnie Blooms.
I painted each star with watercolors (Yes, I painted the one on the left, too!). The background paper is Celebrate Paper from the Simple Stories Sea to Shining Sea collection, and I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Barn Door. The sentiment in the bottom right corner is from a Studio G patriotic set and was stamped using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Faded Jeans. I adhered the canvas stars to the background paper with fabric glue, then I added some Stickles in Xmas Red and Star Dust. The blue glitter I added was from Studio G.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're enjoying our projects this month!

Real Men, Real Heroes
Karen N here from Craftily Yours. This month, here at Linnie Blooms, the design team was challenged to make a project that is somehow patriotic. I wanted to try my hand at using a Linnie Blooms 5x5 canvas blank to create a mini wall-hanging.
My son is proudly serving in the U.S. Army, so I knew exactly what stamp I wanted to use from Unity Stamp Co. Here's a close-up of the fabulous sentiment I chose.
I love that. After I stamped the sentiment, I used Mr. Hueys (Overdue) and Adirondack Color Wash (Denim) through a couple Tim Holtz layering stencils to create a background. (I covered the sentiment with a strip of paper to make sure I didn't spray over it.) I stamped a heart from Unity after coloring it with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and spritzing it with water to create the heart below. Finally, I added some fabric tape, UmWow Studio star confetti and oodles of Stickles. With some ribbon as a hanger, here's what the final project looks like.
The final touch was to add some faux stitching and an underline under the sentiment. (Thanks to my DT sister, Donna K, for that fabulous idea!

Amazing Linnie Bloom canvas shapes
Hi .. Bev here today and OMG ..my first ever real canvas attempt... sure hope you like it.
It all started with canvas shapes from Linnie Blooms... and
I knew exactly what I wanted to do with these really cool canvas trees and leaves.
I started with a 8 1/2"x 12" canvas from the dollar store.
I used paint strips on the background to start.
Then I mask with gesso for more texture and then added more paint splatter.
Next I used Paper House papers.. plywood and pine forest... rustic and ripped
it and edges with ranger ink.
More layers with some burlap, strip of cork and a section of Creative Embellishments accent.
Phot was placed under the accent a bit and the
painted trees cover the base of the photo also.
I put a cute rubon on a piece of paper, ribbed and inked and applied
to top right corner of all the layered textures.
I added and metal accent and a twine tied metal keys accent.
In the top upper left corner I inked the leaves, doodled spines and added buttons.
Using Cricut I cut the title "best memories".
Be sure to visit Linnie Blooms blog and store.. amazing craeative
projects to inspire you.. and give you fab hints on how to use all
the fabulous canvas shapes and many other unique accents.

Linnie Blooms Stencils - Make me look like an artist!!
I can't tell you how much I just LOVE Linnie Bloom Stencils!! I can dream up my plan and then the stencils are so verstile they make creating super easy!! This week I needed to make a card for a friend and I had a definite time crunch!!
I started out with a stash of fabric that I bought a long time ago from the Donna Downey Studios. I have avoided cutting into it ... but today I just thought it was so pretty and wasting away by itself!
I traced the stencil onto the back of the fabric and then cut out the shapes! The great thing about the fabric is it frayed along the edges looking a little bit like the edge of feathers!!
Then I used my Faber-Castell Pitt Pens to edge around the fabric.
I actually had a couple of stamps picked out to use. But this card is for a friend having a really hard time right now, so I printed out one of my favorite Emily Dickinson quotes and glued it down!! I tied the ends of the feathers together with a small piece of twine and glued them too! I went around the edge of the card with distress ink and I was done!!! Simple but different - and made with love!
Thank you for stopping by Linnie Blooms today!! I hope I inspired you to create something a little different and with love!
