Halloween Card

It is almost Halloween but it is not too late to make this cute card.
Directions:
1.
Use a sponge applicator to apply ink to a large canvas star. (Mustard Seed Distress Ink) Apply ink from the edges working in towards the center of star so that the color is darker along the edges. Set aside to dry or dry with a heat gun. Use permanent black ink to stamp a cobweb design over the canvas star.

2. Cut a banner shaped flag from a piece of burlap fabric. (2.5x4.5") Cut two banner shaped flags from pattern paper. (1.75x5.5" and 3x6.5") Cluster the banner flags overlapping them slightly and attach them to the card using double sided tape.

3.
Next, stamp a spider on a piece of transparency using permanent black ink. After the image has dried, carefully cut around it and add attach two black gems for the body and head. Glue the gem spider to the canvas star and attach it to the top left side of the card.

4.
Finally, embellish the card with a sentiment, glittered chipboard number, and faux stitching details. Draw stitches with a fine tip black pen around the edge of the flag on the left, as well as, along the top and bottom edge of the sentiment.

Supplies:
canvas star (Linnie Blooms), burlap printed fabric (Linnie Blooms), Little Man 8" paper pad (Paper House), Distress Ink (Ranger: Mustard Seed), StazOn black ink (Tsukineko), spider web clear stamp (Inkadinkado), sponge ink applicator, gems, liquid glue (Aleene's Tacky Glue), chipboard number, black glitter, transparency, white cardstock, black fine tip pen, card base 5"x7"

Boo-Halloween Mini

First of all thanks so much to Linda for giving me the opportunity to be on her team! I love all things inky & playing with canvas is the perfect setting to create some awesome fun. Linnie Blooms carries all kinds of great products just waiting for some color! For my first post and with the spooky holiday just around the corner I made a cute Halloween Mini.
I started with one mini file folder and the very cute owl. Using flexible modeling paste and stencils to create background texture set the theme. Glimmer Mist loves canvas. When the paste was dry I covered my crackley moon using a cut out & spritzed on a few different purples to color the background. Once that was dry, it was easy to add orange sprays to the moon area. Keeping the colors separate helps prevent that muddy look.
Inside my book, after my spray was dry, I decoupaged an owl cut out from a paper napkin. Adding some stamping using archival ink gave the pages a little flair.

The inside of the book is simply cutting 4 or 5 pieces of Halloween paper, placing them inside each other to make a booklet. Mark 1" from edge in the center at the top & bottom, punch a small hole in the paper and the file folder. With a piece of hemp, ribbon or waxed linen, thread from the inside of the book to the outside bringing the pieces together.
Tie a knot at the top of the book leaving enough thread to add charms and beads. The cute owl is colored with glimmer mist and once dry, simple features are drawn in using signo gel pens. Coloring the bricks and moon with glimmer glam adds a shimmery shine and helps the bricks pop. Finally adding a cute ribbon through a cut in the file tab, creates an easy closure.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial- see you next month!!! Happy creating. Karen

Boo.... Did I scare you???

Hey, Hey everybody it's me Scrappin Madge!! Today I am super excited to share with you a fun Halloween Tag that I created using the amazing Linnie Blooms Canvas Shapes and Canvas Fence!! I absolutely love how it turned out!!! I used a Prima Tag (which is great to use spritz, Gellatos and watercolor on) I allowed it to dry. Then I used the Heidi Swapp color shine and spritzed the Owl and the Fence Black.  I then set them to the side and Used yellow Gellato on the Canvas Circle to make a moon.  I then took a canvas heart and used the Heidi Swapp Color Shine purple and mixed it with some yummy purple gellatos.  After everything was dry I started to piece my tag together.

Here are a couple other pictures of this tag.  Be sure to check out my blog for more info on how I created this super fun tag, along with all of the items used.

And a close up of the moon and the stars...

Bootiful Banner Decor

Hi there....Laura here with my second guest designer post here at
Linnie Blooms.  This time I've used the Linnie Blooms canvas blanks.
These have so many options.....here is my Halloween decor project:

I used three together to make this spooktacular "BOO" banner!
I used Dylusions Spray Ink to color the blanks, then went back
and stamped them in black ink with a script stamp.  I frayed the
edges a bit, and then brushed them with black paint using an
Adirondack paint dauber.  Eyelets and twine connect the pieces
of the banner.  Glittered chipboard letters and a little bling finish it
off with a spooky sentiment.

Here's a closer look:

Thanks for stopping by today, and you can find these fun canvas
pieces (and SO much more) in the Linnie Blooms store HERE, so
you can make your own spooky home decor!
