"You are My Happy" by Rochelle

Hello Crafters!

It’s Rochelle here today and it’s my turn to share with you my project that I created using Linnie Blooms product! :)

Today I am sharing a burlap panel I altered and decorated with Linnie Blooms Canvas Petal Flowers.

Here it is:

I started with this 5x7 burlap panel that already had a vintage image on it (sorry, I forgot to take a “before” photo).  I added a layer of Gesso and the color red to cover the image:

Here’s the Linnie Blooms product I used for the flower:

I colored each canvas piece (and stamped the circle) and set aside to dry. I cut a small piece of the mesh (my fav!!!) for layering.  While I waited, I cut the vinyl quote from my Cameo and transfered it to the panel.

When the flowers dried I layered them and added a button, twine and a couple of stick pins…
And there you go!

A very fun, quick and gorgeous burlap panel with Linnie Blooms Canvas pieces!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sunflower Thank You Card by Rochelle

Hello Crafters!

Today I am sharing with you a card I created using Linnie Blooms Canvas Pieces.
This super cute card is so simple and FUN to make!   This card is 4.5” x 5.5”, but you can make your card any size you want.

First,  I used Maya Road & Tattered Angels mists and colors 2 Linnie Blooms Canvas Sunflowers.  I then colored and stamped a Linnie Blooms Canvas Circle.

I layered them together and added a button and a piece of Linnie Blooms Mesh in the center.

Second, I took a 4x5” of white cardstock and embossed it with a wood grain embossing folder.  I used a brown ink pad and lightly colored it.

Then I added 3 pieces of green checkered wash tape  (for the steam and leaves)  onto the wood grain paper.

Lastly, I  added the layered canvas flowers and a rub-on sentiment on the wood grain paper
and then adhered it to the white card.

here's a closer look at the card:

I hope this has inspired you to create your own card and to visit the
Linnie Blooms Store to see all the wonderful canvas pieces and projects!

Thanks for stopping by the Linnie Blooms Blog!

Boo.... Did I scare you???

Hey, Hey everybody it's me Scrappin Madge!! Today I am super excited to share with you a fun Halloween Tag that I created using the amazing Linnie Blooms Canvas Shapes and Canvas Fence!! I absolutely love how it turned out!!! I used a Prima Tag (which is great to use spritz, Gellatos and watercolor on) I allowed it to dry. Then I used the Heidi Swapp color shine and spritzed the Owl and the Fence Black.  I then set them to the side and Used yellow Gellato on the Canvas Circle to make a moon.  I then took a canvas heart and used the Heidi Swapp Color Shine purple and mixed it with some yummy purple gellatos.  After everything was dry I started to piece my tag together.

Here are a couple other pictures of this tag.  Be sure to check out my blog for more info on how I created this super fun tag, along with all of the items used.

And a close up of the moon and the stars...

Need a Squeeze?

Karen N here from Craftily Yours.  Today, I'm sharing a card that I "squeezed" from my creativity (LOL) using circles from the Linnie Blooms - Set of Canvas Dies - Shapes, Unity Stamp Company {Need a Squeeze}, paper from Simple Stories {A Charmed Life} and a smidge of UmWow Studio Heart Confetti.

I inked the circles with Dylusions in Mowed Lawn and Lemon Zest and Mr. Hueys in Sherbet.  I love how they frame that citrus fruit!

Now, who doesn't need to be squeezed every now and then?!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Before you go, be sure to check out:

Cherish Today

Hi Everyone- Julie, from A Little Bit of Bling, here today.

Today is my last post as a designer for Linnie Blooms. (sad face)
I've had a great time on this team!  Linda- thank you so much for having me!!

Mixed media has always been something that I saw (and loved) but thought, "I'll never be able to do something like that".
Working with the Linnie Blooms shapes and canvas blanks definitely brought me out of my crafting comfort zone- and I am so thankful for it!
I have learned a ton of new techniques- and made some new friends while I was at it!

One of the new techniques I learned is working with alcohol inks.
I made the flower out of aluminum foil and colored it and the canvas blank and shapes with my new alcohol inks.
I finished my project off with some 3 Girl JAM ribbon.  (There may even be a little sneak peek of something new coming to 3GJ soon!)

Make sure to check out the other posts on the Linnie Blooms blog and the shop.  Linda has some exciting things happening on the horizon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Play a Little

It's "Sassy" time here at Linnie Blooms which only means that I (Sassy) bring you today's post.

As I was sorting through Linnie Blooms canvas pieces I had on hand and what was to be put aside for future projects, I was left with a canvas circle, arrow, burlap strings, a piece of mesh, and a few snippets.

Using the pieces above, I created this 5 x 7 boxed canvas:
The circle was used for the girl's head, the  house/arrow for the body, burlap threads for hair, and mesh for additional texture in the lower, right-hand corner.

Be sure to check out Linnie Blooms blog for more inspiring ideas.

Thank for stopping!

Owl Love Tutorial by Cheryl Dossey

Hello Everyone,
It’s my turn again to show you what I’ve created using Linnie Bloom canvas shapes. I
was so excited when the new shapes came in the mail, especially when I saw the owl.
I love owls and have a small collection of them in my home both new and vintage. I’m
also looking forward to creating with the other fall and holiday shapes.
I knew right away that I wanted to make the owl shape into a small work of art. So, I
started with a small 5” x 5” square plaque found at most local craft and hobby stores
(under $2).
Step 1: Paint the sides of the plaque using brown acrylic craft paint.

Step 2: Choose a blue piece of scrapbook paper for the background. I painted and
stamped it first for added interest then glued it down using Mod Podge.

Step 3: Cut out the shape of the tree limb with some kind of brown paper and
attach. I used one with vintage tape measures for this project. Hand
Paint the leaves using green acrylic craft paint.

Step 4: Paint the owl and circle shape with watercolor crayons. Sew a zig zag
stitch on the circle shape used for his belly on a sewing machine. This
could easily be done by hand too, since it’s so small.
Step 5: Add tiny metal decorative washers and small buttons for the eyes. I glued
the metal; the buttons were sewn on by hand.
Step 6: Glue the owl on top of tree. Add hanger to the back and it’s ready to
hang.

This would be a fun and easy project or gift for anyone who loves owls.
Happy Creating,

Halloween Shadow Box

Happy Thursday everyone!!! I', here today to share my first ever Halloween project to share with you all.  *Totally excited* I must say this was fun and funny to create, as I almost had no creative direction. Often I think that's the best way to create...just do it.

For this project I used Linnie Blooms canvas owl and circle shapes (as you can see behind the frame).  I also used the mini canvas squares to create a layered banner, and mixed textures of glitter, glass bead gel and stickles.

Below you can take a peek at my video:

I sure hope you enjoyed this little fun project and were inspired to create your own crafty Halloween display.  Have a BOOtiful rest of your week;-)
