Believe in Your Dream

Hi everyone!! 

This is Noe from Linnie Blooms Design Team… My second Project is inspired in flowers because Spring is coming (at least in Spain).

Here is my project.…Hope you will like it ... It is very colorful, isn´t it??

For making this I used the next Linnie Blooms products:

•   Canvas Full Tree

•   Stitched greetings clear stamps set

•   Linnie blooms butterflies stencil and mask

 Other products used:

•   Gelatos

•   Paper flowers, beads, buttons...

• Glossy Accents

Step by step:

1.   Paint canvas with Gelatos and let it dry.
2.  Also paint Canvas Full tree with Gelatos and when dried, paste it on 6x9 Canvas.
3. Use stitched greeting clear stamps set, stitched “Believe and “Dream” in your canvas and then make a small banner and write “In your”  and then paste it in the middle of stitched words.
4. To make butterfly use Linnie Blooms butterfly stencil.
5. Finally paste flowers at the bottom of the picture as you like and put it in the center of some buttons or beads.

Paris in the Spring

Hi Everyone,

Don't you love the ideas that keep coming from Linnie Blooms: Here's the latest from Me-Trish.... I have dreamt of going to Paris in the spring forever,  I've dreamt about looking out the window and seeing beautiful colors of flowers everywhere and in the middle the Eiffel Tower. 

 

 

I used the Linnie Blooms mini pennants (set of five (5)). I painted each pennant with multiple colors. Pinks, Gold, Green, Blue and Yellow I mixed all colors while they were still wet. I stamped the letters P<A<R<I<S one on each pennant to spell PARIS  I outline the pennants in burnt umber.

 

 

 

 

 

Wrapped around the Eiffel Tower is Linnie Blooms Peach Trim, I also used it to hold the pennants  

 

 

So step out onto the balcony and look down at the beautiful colors

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

E around the tree

Hi Everyone!  Seems like a while since I've posted.  I'm Dawn Mattson and Spring is in full bloom here in Arizona. Here is my newest Linnie Blooms project.  
I took these pictures of my grandson Ethan 10 years ago in my front yard.  I hung the completed project on the original tree in my yard to photograph it.  The tree is so much bigger...and so is my grandson now 14 years old and 5'8" tall. :)

  

I started with a Linnie Blooms 5x11 blank canvas and painted it half blue for the sky and the other half green for the grass with Gelatos.  I used the Linnie Blooms Sunflower stencil for the sun in the corner and yellow Gelatos paint then a Pitt marker in black to make the stitch marks.

 I used the Linnie Blooms tree and also painted it with Gelatos. The Gelatos are so easy to use on the canvas. I just write on them and use a wet paint brush to paint it in like a water color.  If you want it darker...just repeat the process over the top.  For the white picket fence I used an old sizzix die I have...and I did that because I have a white picket fence around my front yard. :) 

 I used the Tim Holtz Big Chat for the words on the tree. I inked them a little on the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tea Dye. I used little clips on top to tie the Linnie Blooms green ribbon to and I hung the swirl clip on one with a charm that reads "hope"

 I also used the green Linnie Blooms ribbon around the bottom and tied a bow. I added the small plaque with brads. It reads..."Know in your heart you are loved" The little butterfly pin is from Hampton Arts. I left it clear but they are easy and fast to paint with alcohol ink if you like. :)

Instructions:

BASE: Using Mod Podge, attach small torn strips of tissue and/or decorative paper to the lid. Note: Make sure all surface areas are covered. Dry completely several hours or overnight.

DOG HOUSE: Apply Paprika glaze over small pocket; dry slightly.  Using brown, paint oval doorway as shown; dry completely. Use the marker to draw a line around doorway and define the roof and wood planks. Glue onto inside center of lid.

MIXED MEDIA COMPONENTS: Glue dog, netting, cork section and words as shown. Glue magnet to back of lid.

Miscellaneous

      Pop off metal lid from large juice bottle, applesauce or pasta sauce jar or other container

      Specialty button with shank removed or dog head created from polymer clay

      Scrap of green netting from potatoes or fruit packaging or Easter Grass

      Small craft cork stopper cut as shown

      Words of your choice cut from printed pages (old books, magazines, inkjet prints, etc)

      Scraps of colored tissue and/or decorative paper scraps

      Magnetic sheet or printed magnet, cut into circle ¼” smaller in diameter than the metal lid

DOODLED FLOWER GARLAND FOR SPRING!

Good Wednesday Morning!  Beth Watson here to share my latest Linnie Blooms Design Team project!

I hope Spring has SPRUNG in your neck of the woods this March!  I live in sunny SW Florida and we hopped straight from Winter into Summer, so to get some of that Spring back in the air I have created this sweet Flower Garland!

Now, on to my project!

Start with the Canvas Petal Flower and spray mist each of the 6 flowers a different color, let dry.

Spray mist the Canvas Leaves in green and the Canvas Small Pennants in brown, let dry.

Select 6 large brightly colored buttons, string through and tie with contrasting colored twine.  Attach pink adhesive chipboard letters to the Small Pennants to spell BLOOM.

Doodle on the Petal Flowers, Leaves and Small Pennants with Tombow USA Mono Twin Permanent Marker - it will write on the canvas in a broad or fine tip and does not bleed!

Attach decorative trims to the large flowers with Tombow USA Xtreme Permanent Adhesive - it is a adhesive runner with the power of a red line tape (awesome)!  Then attach the buttons and Canvas Leaves to the Canvas Petal Flowers with Tombow USA Xtreme Adhesive Tabs - strong enough to hold bulky items.




Spread out a 24" length of Shabby Trim in green, then arrange your Petal Flowers and Small Pennants until you are happy with the placement.  Attach with Tombow Xtreme Adhesive Tabs.

Something Faithful for Your Monday

I finally had a chance to play with Linnie Blooms newest product -- Canvas Script Words.  These are now for sale in the online shop and you get all three words for $3.99.

Aren't they pretty?  For an idea of their size, they are shown here on a 12x12 sheet of paper.  So these will work great on layouts, canvases and more!  Here is what I made with one of them:

I started with a 13x13 Linnie Blooms Canvas Pillow, filled it with a lining of wax paper to protect the back.  I then attached the burlap strip.  NOTE:  Do NOT color your word until it is affixed to your project.  Next, I colored three Linnie Blooms Canvas Sunflowers with a mixture of acrylic paint and water.  The back one is a shade of green, the middle is white and the top flower is blue.  I attached the flower group with my hot glue gun.  Next, I attached the words with the hot glue.  Once everything was in place I took a very small paintbrush and a mixture of acrylic blue paint and water to color the words.  TIP:  Use your heat gun to clean up any showing hot glue strands.  

That's it!  Super easy and a great way to add your own decor to your home!

I started with small project , out of my nervousness and excitement. ( didnt want to mess up).

Process

1. gesso the canvas.
2. After it drying spray some water and apply then acrylic paint ( yellow and red in this case), wiping off extra)
3. When dry, give some texture by stenciling, and staming.
4. once satisfied add the butterfly and hemp cord.
5. Lastly apply modpodge or other sealant for extra life of the book mark.
