Noe here to show you my newest project for Linnie Blooms Design Team Blog!! 

For my project today I wanted to make a tag using Luggage Tag from Linnie Blooms store ... I love decorate tags that serve for many things ... to give a gift, to give a message or  as bookmark !!

I created my background painting Luggage Tag with my Gelatos and Izink inks ... 

Then I stamped some stamps of texture. I played with my inks in a piece of watercolor paper and stamped over it one sentiment of Stamping Bella that I love..

Sponged Nature Hanging

I LOVE inky techniques!  And...I especially love to try inky techniques with Linnie Blooms' awesome pre-sewn canvas products!

I was inspired by all the GREEN and SKY and foliage around my neighborhood and decided to create this cheerful little wall hanging, using the items below:

I just LOVE Linnie Blooms picket fence, tree, 5" x 5" blank square, heart, miniature clothespins and Shabby Trim!

...and that little yellow button added just the special touch of sunshine to the project!

In addition to these items, I also used these additional supplies:

Clearsnap, Inc: Archival Dye inkpads (Wicked Black, Mudslide, Glacier Lake, Moody Blue, Tree Frog, Grasshopper, Pinetree, Squash, Pumpkin Pie, Fireberry)
Clearsnap, Inc:  Color Blenders
Beacon Adhesives: Fabri-tac Permenent Adhesive
Needle and thread
Scrap paper
Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS:

Begin with the background.  Draw a scalloped edge on the scrap paper and cut out. to create a cloud stencil.  Place the stencil just below the top edge and gently sponge both blue inks along the edge.

Move the stencil down and angle slightly.  Sponge ink again along the edge.

Continue until the entire square is covered in clouds.  Aren't they adorable?! This one of my favorite inky techniques...and now you know how easy it is to do!

Next we will do the pieces. Using a technique called "direct-to-paper" (DTP), add  Squash and Pumpkin Pie to the fence.

Cut out  a small section in a paper scrap as shown below. This creates a "mask", which only exposes the area in which we want to add ink.  The remaining areas remain covered.

Place over the fence and dab Mudslide along the edge. Move the paper as needed and continue for each fence post.

It should look like this when you are done. Pretty cool, eh?!

Tree and heart are next.  Now that you are so skilled using a simple paper mask, sponge the tree trunk in Mudslide and then move the paper around and sponge the three greens on the leafy parts.

Simply add Fireberry to the heart using the DTP technique.  (Look how many cool inky techniques you are learning!!)

When dry, sew  the cute yellow button onto the heart.

And now to the cool assembly.  I wanted to add a 3-D vibe to the hanging so I folded and pinched the tree and fence before gluing....just like this!

One more step... Use DTP along the edge of the Shabby Trim to add a little Pinetree grunge.

Now glue all the pieces onto the cloud background....clip the trim onto the hanging when dry!  

Ballerina Treat Bag

Hi Bloomers,

Hope you've been loving all of the creations from the design team. Did you see the blog hop? some real yummie fun things were created and Linnie Blooms has another blog hop coming up soon (stay tuned for more details).

Today my creation came from using the treat bag  1 per pack ($3.49) , I love planning parties and giving everyone party gifts and these bags are perfect for doing so.  You can use them to make all sorts of things to create for your event or put together for your theme.

I wanted to make something fun and I used the Full Canvas Tree (upside down) and I used the Blue and Peach colored trims and the Treat Bag.

I punched holes into the sides of the bag using my cropadile, very easy holding both sides together (you could add eyelets to keep the circles strong).  I added the Blue Trim to the handle with other misc. ribbons.

I used the full canvas tree upside down  and allowed it to curl so. it would give a look  for my tutu.

 I added some texture, stickles  and  thread to the tutu. 

   I added fabri-tac to attach the tutu to the treat bag

I LOVE decorating packages and other everyday items in unexpected, simple ways!  Sometimes just a splash of color can brighten up everything or make someone smile. How cute are these canvas shapes when assembled and placed inside a vase  or used to decorate a gift?! 

Materials:

Linnie Blooms

Canvas Shapes:

Large Flower

Small Flower

Small Heart

Small Pocket

Canvas Tag

Shabby Chic Trim (green)

You will also need:

Clearsnap Colorbox Premium Sprays by Stephanie Barnard (Yellow, Chocolate, Orange, Bubblegum Pink, Guava, Strawberry

Dimensional Fabric Paint of your choice in colors of your choice

Beacon Adhesives Gem-tac Permanent Adhesive 

Miscellaneous:  Printed card stock scrap

8-12" wood skewer

Heart button

Small pearls

Instructions:

1. Spray the flowers, heart and tag in color combos of your choice; dry flat by placing a non-stick Teflon mat over wet pieces. 
2. Paint dots on the flowers and heart; dry completely several hours or overnight 
3. On the wrong side of the pocket, apply glue along the side and bottom edges. Attach the pocket to the center of the tag; dry. Paint stitches along the edges, as shown; dry completely (several hours or overnight).
4. Poke a small hole in the center of the large flower. Insert the pointed end of the skewer/stem 1/4" into the large flower from the backside and glue in place.  Attach the small flower over the large flower, centering over the skewer/stem point. (Note: Paint or spray the skewer/stem first, if desired. Dry thoroughly before attaching to the flower)
5. Glue pearls onto the button; dry. Tie three Shabby Chic Trim bows onto the skewer/stem. 

 6. Write or stamp a phrase or sentiment on the note card scrap; slip into pocket.  Insert the skewer/stem into the tag hole. (Note: Glue skewer/stem onto on back of tag if desired. 
7. Place finished project into a vase, gift bag or tie onto a wrapped package. This project can also be used to decorate indoor artificial plants, placed into a weighted base for Bridal Shower place cards or hung on the wall!

Flowering Canvas

Flowers,  flowers, flowers, I so love thee.  Hi it's Ann from the Design Team here at Linnie Blooms and also from the blog: Annmakes.  Spring has finally arrived and I look forward to gardening.  In the mean time I am making some cards with flowers as my inspiration.

To make this card I coloured the Linnie Blooms Canvas flower with some water colour paints in a "Poppy Red".  The canvas takes the paint very well and retained the shimmering of the metallic paint. The stem of the flower was made by sewing the Green Shabby trim (Linnie Blooms) in the zig zag stitch on the sewing machine straight onto the paper, before adhering to the next layers and then to the card.

The centre of the flower was made  by hand sewing on a button with some embroidery floss.

The sun and clouds were made from card stock and some steel dies. I also used some  dimensional glue dots to give the sun dimension.

The sentiment was stamped on and coloured.

Here’s what you will need:

Clearsnap® Color Blender

Dimensional fabric paint in colors of your choice

Multi-faceted faceted gems (or decorative beads) in colors, shapes and sizes of your choice

Here’s what you do:

1. Using the Bloom Stencil and Color Blender, sponge Coral ink inside flower shape. Repeat this step three times along the bracelet edges, as shown. 
   
   
   
   
2. Repeat Step 1 with Tree Frog ink until all edges have been filled in with shapes. Dry.  
   
   
   
   
3. Using dimensional paint, draw green outlines around green leaf shapes and outline coral dots around coral flower shapes.  Dry completely.  
   
4. Cut two 3” lengths green Shabby Chic trim and tie into small bows. Using Gem-tac® Permanent Adhesive, attach gems (or beads) and bows onto bracelet, as shown. Dry completely.

5x5 Canvas Blank Mini Album

Hi everyone!!

 I´m Noe and I so excited to share with you my first project from Linnie Blooms Blog.

(Hola a todos!! Soy Noe y estoy entusiasmada por compartir mi primer proyecto para el blog de Linnie Blooms).

When I saw Linnie Blooms products first thing that caught my attention  was  5x5 Canvas Blank… perfect for the front and back of a mini album!!! I love mini albums!

(Cuando ví los distintos productos de Linnie Blooms el primero que llamó mi atención fue el Canvas de 5x5, perfectos para la portada y contraportada de un Mini Album! Me encantan los Minis!! Inmediatamente me puse manos a la obra y este es el resultado).

Immediately, I got down to work!! And this is the result:

To make it I used next Linnie Blooms products:

•  5x5 Canvas Blank 
•   Linnie Blooms Bloom Stencil and Mask
• Shabby Trim
• Stitched Greetings Clear Stamp Set

Other products used:

•   Lora Bailora stamps (also in english).
• Acetate sheet. 
•  Cork sheet.
• Acrilic paint
• Dylussion Inks
• Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium

To make the cover of mini álbum, play with your acrilics paints and dylussions inks… So simple!! Enjoy!! Also used dimensional paste to give relief (in my case, I used Sparkle Medium). If you like the result, let it dry.

(Para hacer la portada del mini juega con tus pinturas acrílicas y tus tintas Dylussions, es así de simple, solo jugar y divertirnos con ellas!! Usaremos además algún tipo de pasta dimensional para darle algo de relieve a la portada, en mi caso, sparkle medium. Cuando nos guste el resultado lo dejamos secar. Mientras haremos la flor de la portada).

Now, let´s make the flower!!

Using Linnie Blooms Bloom Stencil draw contour  on a piece of cloth… Also, draws a spiral in the center and trim it. Now, starting from the center, began to roll the fabric, for this, use a piece of cardboard to paste it. Finally, stick in the center of the flower  a button , bead or gem.

(Usando el stencil de Flor de Linnie Blooms dibujamos el contorno sobre un trozo de tela y dentro de éste una espiral y recortamos. Ahora, empezando desde el centro, comenzamos a enrollar, ayudándonos para ello de una trozo de cartulina sobre el que la pegaremos. Finalmente pegaremos en el centro un botón, una perla o un brillantito).

Fill the different sheets with your favorite photos and decorate with stamps, washi tape, wooden figures and everything you can think of !!

(Rellenamos el resto de las hojas con nuestras hojas favoritas y decoramos con sellos, washi tape, figuras de madera y todo lo que se nos ocurra).

For the back to the mini album used Stitched Greentings Clear Stamps Set and sew the word you prefer  with the color you want.

(Para la contraportada usé el Set de Sello de Plantilla de Cosido... cosemos la palabra que prefiramos en lo color que más nos guste).

Finally, used Shabby Trim to decorate  rings. Ready… you got it!!

(Finalmente usaremos la cinta Shabby para decorar las anillas... Listo, lo tenemos!!).
